- The Silk Road: The Silk Road was a trade route that connected the Chinese empire and the Roman empire. Many things were traded between the empires including silk, bronze, salt, and tea. It led to the sharing of cultures especially religion. Silk was introduced into the west and had a very high demand because it was only made in China.
- Civil Service: People were chosen to be government officials through a civil service and academy that at the fall of the Han Dynasty had over 30,000 students enrolled in the academy. At this academy students took classes and tests to become a government officials. This academy and civil service were one of the Han’s biggest achievements.
